Problem with "unlocked" Nokia N95 : Help Please
Having got my son an N95 through my Vodaphone Business offer of another free phone (which I did not require) it is locked to Vodaphone. Son has sontract and thus Sim from Virgin.
Once we get phone unlocked locally, how can my son get Internet connection on this phone (as I would think it would look for Vodaphone settings and not Virgin.) Hope this makes some sense, as I am no mobile phone expert!!! |
You should be able to get all the internet settings sent by text message from his service provider. Try Virgin's website, or failing that ring up customer services.

its easy peasy lemon squeezy :D
he will contact customer services on his new phone, tell them he has upgraded to a new phone, he tells them what make and model and they will send him a sim update, read delete turn the phone off, bobs your uncle fannys your aunt that makes you smile ;) :D |
You cannot get the N95 unlocked locally.
has to be done by your network -usually for a charge of £20- Be very sceptical of anyone that says they can- only a handful of people have managed to do it with lots of hassle (look on some of the gsm handset forums if you dont believe me) due to them changing the method of unlocking... |
£20 isnt to out of the way anyway is it?
