Sorry people, more Sigma alarm woes

The alarm keeps going of on the Scoob, hence me being awake at this stupid hour:brickwall

Does anyone know if theres a code to turn the sensors sensitivity down a touch, don't want them turned off completely, but alo don't want to be kept woken up at 3:30 in the morning!!

The car will be kept in the garage very soon, just got to clear out an immense amount of crap collected over 8 years!!

Free BTT!

Anyone know of someone that could fit my alarm for a reasonable price?

It has really good instructions but I'm not sure I want to give it a go.....

TonyF 22 January 2008 08:02 AM

Hi
To reduce the sensitivity you need

*17856*20 then *0 to *99 followed by # to adjust ultrasonic sensitivity. Default is 15

You can also adjust the number of exceeded counts in one second required to activate the alarm.
That code is:

*17856*21 then *0 to *99 (Default is 10)

Hope that helps.

:notworthy Thanks mate, thats exactly what I needed

I don't want to turn the sensors off, just can't be having the alarm keep going off!:thumb:

Cornelius, for more codes for the Sigma alarms, have a look in the Scoobypedia and search for 'Sigma', when I was stuck at Lakeside at christmas, I got on my N95 and downloaded the pdf's to my phone with all the codes ;)

Nate 22 January 2008 10:34 AM

Paul,

you will need to have a look as well, because from memory, your (now) car had alarm problems, unless that has been rectified ;)

Cornelius 22 January 2008 10:39 AM

Sod it, I'll take the alarm out and fit a Clifford, can't be having these problems;)

Summary:
My advice is to read the alarm system's instruction manual and practice entering the PIN before you need it. If you do not know your PIN, or bought the car second hand (in which case the PIN may have been changed by the previous owner) you can change the PIN to one of your own choosing, using the keypad, provided that you have a working Radio Key.

Changing your PIN:
- Arm and then Disarm the system using a working Radio Key.
- Within 30 seconds of disarming, type into the keypad: *17856*92*wxyz*wxyz# (where wxyz is your new PIN code)
- Arm the system with the Radio Key
- You should now be able to disarm the system using the new PIN code

Thanks Steve, already found the full code list and have passed onto Spally as well.

Will be having a play tonight just incase Spally decides he wants the car back:p :lol1:

spally 22 January 2008 02:24 PM
