All I changed was the tubular gt spec headers for ported o/e with matched uppipe so you are not making sense saying

"I dont think the headers were your problem"

Lots of people have found that good ported headers outperform tubular well over 400bhp on a 2 litre.

Is your car 2 litre and what bhp.

"Ported headers will always limit your cars power"
Bollocks. Not up to 400 odd bhp on a 2litreas lots ofpeeps on here already know.

Have to disagree with this; when I switched from ported headers to tubulars (on a 400bhp 2L engine running MD321H turbo) I gained huge dollops of mid and top end power and torque, with no low-down losses and virtually identical spool.

also your gearbox aint gonna last long at that sort of power

It's preparing it's resignation note as we speak:

"goodbye cruel world" ;) :D

TBH I think tubular headers are a bit overkill for 350 BHP:confused:

Yep, ported and wrapped Std headers are the way to go at that level.

There is something severely wrong with your P1 if it only gets 1 bar at 3600rpm !
There are some bad designs out there but the GT spec 3 bolt headers with venturi uppipe are generally within 100-200 rpm of spool of ported headers and in some cases even generate spool up faster, in every case they generate their maximum power with a lower boost requirement which is easier on the engine.
I would normally see 1 bar on a P1 around 3100 rpm on GT spec headers.
