440injectors

just looking at some new injectors and turbo was wondering if 440 injectors would get me up to the 350 bhp mark or would i need somthing bigger like 550s

Skooby53 17 January 2008 07:09 PM

Hi, I do believe that 440's will give you 350bhp, but this is a maximum on these. Obviously you could use 550's as they are good for 400bhp, probably best if more upgrades are to follow:norty: If you have a MY99-00 Uk or STi these already have 440's! :thumb:

i got 51 plate wrx and i think the injectors are blue most probably standard ones

Skooby53 17 January 2008 07:25 PM

Ok, they have 380cc injectors and will only be able to handle 300bhp. I'm afraid you will have to fork out for some new ones. Probably worth going for the 550's, you know what this modifying lark is like! You can also fit the Pink injectors from an 01- STi as these are a direct replacement and are 500cc.

some one has some pink ones for a 06 sti going for 170 ish thought that was steap myself and will they fit straight on think im phase 2 right are these the same also seen some yellow 440 injectors cheaper and as im only looking to get to around 350 bhp thought these would do what do ya think

Skooby53 17 January 2008 07:38 PM

440's will give you fueling for 350bhp, it depends if you will be hitting 350 or just under really. I think the maximum fuel flow will be achieved at this level. To be honest if you can get the 440's for a good price then go for it. If however you think the tuning bug will keep going go for the Pink ones as they will see you through. Personally, and this is just my opinion, I would pay the extra and go for the Pink.

nope this is first and last 1 mate so 440s will see me through

51 plate wrx with td 04
larger than sti tmic
typhoon induction kit
hks bov
turbo back decat
scoony clinic remap to 280bhp

soon to be added
vf 34 or 35 turbo
injectors ?
tubular headers matching up pipe

hoping to get to around 350 bhp mark what do ya think

Skooby53 17 January 2008 07:56 PM

Hmm, there or there abouts. My only query is the turbo. I know the VF 34 is good for 300 on a wrx but not sure about 350. Have you thought about a TD05 Hybrid or similar, more than capable of 350 and even more. Going to be a quick Scoob when you finish :thumb:

cmed 17 January 2008 07:59 PM

no mate its what i was told on here what your view
also is it a front entry i need turbo wise not to clued up on this

Skooby53 17 January 2008 08:41 PM

Yes, it is a front entry turbo you need. Its only pre-96 that's different, You can rely on a VF35 to get you 330-340 tops so I think this will be OK ,to be honest a VF34 is not that much different. Is all to do with spool up time. I do know other members who are using VF35 and getting that sort of figure. If your really after 350 you may have to look elsewhere though. Give scooby clinic a ring as they did the remap they will be able to give you an unbiased opinion and make sure it meets your exact requirements. Good luck.

cmed 17 January 2008 08:49 PM

so all turbos will fit my car as long as it newer than 96 ?

cmed 17 January 2008 08:51 PM

so as long as its from a scooby newer in age than 96 itll be alright to fit mine a 51 plate wrx

Skooby53 17 January 2008 09:33 PM

In theory yes, but please check with scooby clinic or from where you purchase your turbo. I am more familiar with classics than later models so I am not 100% sure regarding the turbo fitting. Injectors are more or less the same whatever, so an easy answer.

500 or 550cc to be certain of reaching your target figure,440's although stated as being suitable for 350 will only flow that ammount at their maximum potential, best to have some headroom as running injectors towards max injector duty cycle is best avoided
