Tyre weld ??
 

Anyone here used this Tyre weld type stuff before ?? reason asking is I have just purchased a set off four 17" alloys for my wifes car to replace the oe 15" ones fitted to the car just now. was in Halfords today and noticed this stuff and it looks as if it could be the answer to the missing spare wheel ??!! but bit concerned just how easy the stuff is to actually use ?? also can the tyre be fixed once this stuff has been applied ??

I take it using one off the exsisting 15" alloys would be a big no - no even for a slow speed get me home type fix ??

anyone advise ??

Used the stuff once, not on scoob though...............bloomin rubbish!!!

Best advice get a proper spare mate

Used it once and it was OK. No good if you have a blow out or a split in the side wall though.

Best bet is to get all 4 tyres filled with that run flat gel stuff

Think I'd rather run the 15 than a space-saver personally! The only concern I would have is insurance, should anything happen whilst using it, but I would have thought that if you observe the same speed restraints recommended for the skinny it could hardly be worse as a get-you-home measure and you'd be less prone to mishaps on it than on a skinny anyway.

I've always used a full-size spare. The problem that presents is that if you have a directional tyre fitted to it then there's always the chance that it'll be fitted the wrong way around - so I carry the nearside spare as that's the one that gets most pot-holes.

A can of goo thrown in the boot as well gives you more options.
