Offsite Backup recommendations

Hi,

Have taken on the task of reviewing our current backup system.

The system currently consists of 1 server & several PC's. The total data on the server is about 5Gb which is mainly 1 main database, 1 accounts database & hundreds of small spreadsheets (nothing out of the ordinary).
At the moment a daily backup is done & a weekly one copied to disc & taken offsite for secure storage.

I have done a bit of reading about offsite backups & think they may be a good idea for us & solution to forgetting to take the weekly copies offsite :Whatever_

I did get a quote from our current IT support company & they quoted £900 p/a for automatic offsite backups, this seems expensive to me what do others think?

Does anyone have any recommended companies to use or any comments as to other options we could explore?

Thanks,

Gareth

The database is going to be the main problem - due to it's size.

What internet connection (upstream) do you have?

The database is 70mb so shouldn't be a massive problem, although it wasn't something I had considered tbh.

DJ Dunk, is that a recommendation for the company or do you work for them? ;)

Both ;) It may be overkill for what you want, but I'd recommend Connected®Backup for Server.
