PS3 unchartered, a bit of help please
 

Hi ive been playing the unchartered game which i must say is excellent, im stuck though on the bit with a compass and 4 statues that need turning. i am really stuck i just dont get it from the hint thats given, maybe its just me missing the obvious but i really dont know what to do, Anyone help me please?
