Any ideas would be welcome!

Hy guys! Hope you had a great xmas & are looking forward to new year! I have posted a thread on tech, but not much joy yet! Just wondered if any of ya know if there is a way of telling if your turbo is on it's way out?

Cheers x

well i cant say much
but if its on its way out i should think you would loose power and boost
making the car seem less powerfull

Could be wrong, but I always thought the 1st sign was a smoky exhaust (or is it too late by then?)

and poss oil usage
check the oil
all above combined

Thanks for your help, I will have a look into it & see what I find! I think the turbo is probably fine, think it's me being a typical paranoid female lol!:D Hope you have a great New Year! :lol1:

Thanks for that Martin, It only has a problem when its cold & rains! When warmed up its fine! Bizzare aint it!

What kind of problems are you getting on the cold rainy days before it warms up?

Alan MaC 28 December 2007 10:15 PM

On my VF28 it was hesitation, then a bit of a whine.

Eventually, the engine went into limp home mode, 30mph flat out.

Hope that helps.

Do you have a catted up pipe by the way??

Regards.
