HORRIBLE JUDDER!!

I get a horrible judder sometimes when i come off the gas from the box or prop shaft, worried now as i had to have it changed not to long ago cos the centre bearing bracket was bent, i thought that was the prob but seems it may have been the judder that caused it! anyone got any ideas?

i feels like there is loads of slack between the box and rear diff, thats the best way i can explain it

Mine tries this, I suspect it's a little publicised result of fitting a FMIC....

I guess the dump valve doesn't... so air flow stops and the MAF readszero, so cuts the fuel dead... causing horrible "shunt".

To prove it drive hard and "roll-off" the gas slowly and it's fine, only bad when you jump off the gas pedal.

I've fitted std dump valve and it's a bit less "nasty" but still does it a bit !

hiya shane, missed you up the horseshoe sunday?
my old v6 scimitar did same thing, it sounds like your rear dif needs rebuilding, (bearing in mind the scimitar was solid axle it had too much end float) therefore the driveshafts were not tight against the crown wheel so under load ie engine turning prop, slack is taken up but when releasing throttle or dipping clutch the driveshafts would move outward making a knock or a judder,
easy to check just undo rear prop bolts at dif and try to turn flange if you can make it knock side to side ther's your prob, hope it helps, phil.
