Digital Climate Control on classic Impreza

Has anyone got a clue if this is a standard item? And where would I be able to find one? And if I do is it a simple plug-n-play?

Could be from a forester?

RB5_245 20 December 2007 07:02 PM

That looks std to me.

It looks to be facelift classic JDM to me, where is the photo from?

I used to own a prelude (1993) and one of the big upgrades was always digital climate control. I remembe rit was always a lot more hassle than it was worth. Must admit, it looks fantastic!

That is different you can see there is another heated rear window button under the display hence it is a mod, or is it a front screen heat button??? Possibly a legacy or svx control unit?

I'll see how tricky it is to do!

Bet it's standard fit from a Jap spec model. API will know, and quite possibly have one.

Its my car, feel free to use the photo! ;) :p

It is a subaru fitment, it was aJDM optional extra, never seen another classic facelift impreza with it and I've looked everywhere! So I must be lucky! :smug:

The other screen heater button on under the display is just the button to position the blowers onto the windscreen.

I've had the control panel out to try and replace the bulb on the rear heater switch (which I lost against  ) and it is all multi plugs at the back of the unit, so it would definately not be a sim ply plug and play mod if you ever found a unit.

Might be from a Fossie

Thats where the facelift Impreza dash came from wasnt it?

ryn004 21 December 2007 11:24 AM

What is a Fossie?

Dannybwoy 21 December 2007 11:26 AM

Fossie = Forester

silent running 23 December 2007 09:45 PM

That's well tasty. Seems to fit in the slot where I have plain climate control with three dials and a few switches.

top_fuel 23 December 2007 09:54 PM

It's like mine :)

Standard ( I think ) on late SF model JDM Forester S/tb MY99-01 and optional on late classic STi's

As Az said , the 'extra' windscreen button is the instant full power to the windscreen blowers.

burning_diarohhea 25 December 2007 08:46 AM

looks smart!!!! i work in the air con industry and never seen that before in all my time

Same display as my Legacy B4. MY2000
Never realised they didn't have them on Imprezas.

Has anyone done this conversion? What is needed to wire it up, I've squired a digital panel like the one in the picture. :)

Cheers :)
