Pistonheads tunnel run anyone??
 

Just thought some of you might be interested in this. South Wales PH are having an early meet (10am) and blast through Cardiff tunnels on New Years Eve. Its going to be family friendly and not the usual hardcore blast so it could give the kids or other half the chance to take a look at the other cars.

Here are details of the meet and current cars.:thumb:

PH SW New Years Eve Tunnel Run

"After the huge turnout last year, i gather a lot of people like a good excuse to escape the family for a few hours in the festive season!

This is an open invitation to all PHers, the perfect introduction into who we are and what we drive. Also dont forget to bring your kids, im sure they will love a trip out with some exotic cars, and maybe give the missus a few hours relief!

So the plan is to meet at junction 33 services for approx 10am (maybe a bit later if the weather is crappy) and start saying hello to people.
We will leave at approx 10.45am and head down the a4232 to the tunnels in cardiff bay. We will do 2 circuits i.e. 4 tunnels before heading over to the sheltered carpark not far away (if you dont know where this is just ask on the day)

Once there, more time to meet more of the PH communtiy from south wales, maybe you want to go back out to the tunnels in smaller groups, maybe you have to head home for lunch already, perhaps your kids will already be moaning about the cold weather and want to go home, we will see.


Most important of all, sensible hats will remain on all day ok

Absolutely no speeding, racing and definately no "drifting"!!!

Anyone reported to be driving like a pratt will be asked not to attend future days out with the south wales region, so you have be warned. Read my first post if anyone is confused as to the point of the day.

I work in an office overlooking the eastern end of the tunnels and I have just been treated to a glorious time listening to and watching the excellent cars involved.

yes some nice noises inside the tunnel , I was following a white nissan 200 that put his hazzards on going to the roundabout , broken down I thought , no getting ready for a big drift he was , he got some funny looks off the rest of the road users :D header !

Yan where did you go , we went up the car park but only about half the people turned up
