.flac audio files
What's a good free audio player for .flac files?
Or better still, how can I convert them easily (and free) to mp3 format? Any advice appreciated. TIA :) |

^^^ What the bloody hell does this drivel above mean???
"Foobar" is actually "fubar", and really should be FUBAR as it's an acronym. "ftw"??? New one on me... finger trouble with "wtf", or what??? Either way, zero value post... and in many ways I've added to that with this drivel.... |

You could just download a codec so you can play the files in Windows Media Player, rather than use a seperate player.
Try here for a codec pack. |

The reason for converting it is usually that you want to transfer it to a music player and they do not support .flac. Well, iPods and Walkmans don't anyway ..

You can burn flac with the right pack on nero then use itunes to convert to alac which is their own and just the same quality wise. ;)
