It's mine soon, how did you celebrate, if that’s the right word to use.

Can not remember what I did for mine, but when my wife hit the small 30, I took her to Rome for the weekend. It was in late January. The weather was brill, no crowds, v romantic.

Rented a Caterham 7 for 2 days! Have always wanted to drive one, finally got round to it!

And whaddya know? My birthday's in October, so it was cold, wet, windy and slippery. So I went out and spent my 20k on a Scoob instead!

I was 30 on 1st September so sat around playing/drinking in the park all day with my mates and family and then we watched England beat Germany 5-1!!!!

What a night :D

fast bloke 15 January 2002 03:55 PM

Got my second kid christened in the morning then got about 80 people round the house for the worlds biggest drinkathon. (Kids had to stay with granny and granda for days afterwards.) i was quite surprised, cos I didn't think I knew 80 people

We seem to be in the minority on here, are we old then. Nimbus must be, he can't remeber what he did, or that must have been on hell of a night!

England 5 - top night (I'm an LFC fan btw)

I was in Sweden and did the Helsinki booze cruise.
After boarding the boat it was "Happy Hour" from 17:30 til 20:30 [?]. Two long Island Ice Tea's for the price of one. Oh dear ...

camk 15 January 2002 07:36 PM

Went to Amsterdam and forgot all about it for a weekend, a surprise from my wife. Whom I was happy to surprise back by showing her how out of my face I could get. Not that I condone that type of thing you know......;)

Cammy

When I turned 30 i did a few things

Went to M&S and bought a really nice cardigan and slippers.
Put radio 2 on and said goodbye to radio 1 forever.
Vowed never to dance again at a family gathering.
Went to the newsagents and ordered the daily Mail.
learnt to tut at fast cars.
Bought a Rover 214 with leather seats.

'It was 40, you were seeing double'

Close David, but no cigar. It turned out to be just me and two mirrors facing each other :p

LeighJ 16 January 2002 12:49 PM

Camk,

I am also doing the Amsterdam thing, before I can't.

AllanB 16 January 2002 01:48 PM

Went to Camden with some friends and drank loads of snakebite and black with shots of Vodka in. Got very ill ( really , really ill)and left a trail of luminous pink vomit all the way from Camden to Enfield and redecorated the side of a cab and fell asleep on the loo with my head resting on the sink.

Roll on 31 !

I was 30 last weekend. After many years of mad birthday parties, I decided to have a "quiet one", or rather none at all since I'm tryting to save for my wedding later in the year.

What happens Sat night? I get home open the door and bang, pop, flash, the usual suspects had arranged a surprise party.

ABSOLUTE QUALITY; the house was full of food and drinks, I didn't have to lift a finger, and someone cleaned up the next morning while the "old git" was recovering.

P.S. Opened all my presents looking for a voucher for a track day - It never arrived.

Richard Askew 16 January 2002 02:50 PM

I'll tell ya all in 7 yrs time :p

LeighJ 16 January 2002 04:05 PM

I was 30 in November

Went to the Races in Cheltenham and Got v.Drunk,

Spent all December partying and now skint. My Ex rented a river boat for hers and had a cracking party. Thats too classy for me I just like beer and women.

PS Where does one meet older women, much as I like hanging round with 20 - 25 year old girls I want to experiance the Over 30s as well!!!

NeilT 17 January 2002 11:34 AM

humbug 17 January 2002 12:25 PM

For my 30th I remember chatting her up in a bar and after a few drinks we went back to my place and Bob was my uncle.
