MY05 Sti 400bhp+ fuel pressure regulator and pump type

Currently running a MY05 STI 2,0 EURO (sorry bad language, from abroad)

- stronger bottom end/ studs/gaskets etc to
- GT30R hybrid
- Jun cams
- walboro 255lph
- Motec M800 ecu
- close ratio Spec C gearbox
- uprated radiator, APS FMIC
- list too long etc

Dynoed at 411bhp/511Nm on 99octane pump fuel on monday on a very conservative dyno. but now with redused exhaused housing for improved spoolup, and everything is super now)

Currently no problems. Rough idling when cold, when warm a bit too low idle.

But i have concens about fuelling:
- should i fit a uprated fuel pressure regulator?
- tex RCM sell different type of pumps, is walboro wich im currently running 255lph ok?

any piont of views of these matters?

A walbro 255 should be fine.

Why do you have concerns over fueling - is it running lean?

Exactly what hybrid is it, standard fit or rotated?
Are you still running OE injectors?

Walbro do have larger in tank offerings.

Its a rotated GT30. STI Inlet manifold is also reversed;) , and power enterprise 800cc injectors, and APS DR650 FMIC.

Not running lean and the motec is professionaly mapped.

My concerns is that I see that Scoobyclinic, Powerstation etc all list FPR in their 400+ setups. Thats concern me.

Personally I would, and have, fitted an SX regulator to my rotated GT30R setup on a 2.5. Especially at this level. I also have the walbro intank pump.

I have parrallel rails and braided hoses with goodridge fittings too.

Here's a pic for reference.

Now thats a nice looking bit of kit..!

99% of all aftermarket ecu are very sensitive to atmospheric conditions, and hence tend to be a bit cranky on cold start, make sure you prime the fuel rails (turn ignition to point just before starter motor kicks in and hold while you can hear a buzzing from the pump).

the idle may just need slightly increasing in the map
