We struggled with boys names too really

Girls name was dead easy, but a boys name we narrowed it down to about 20 or so, then wittled them down until we had 3

Then one was ruled out anyway, which left us with two which we couldnt decide on so we went with both :D

....for dave.

davegtt 04 December 2007 12:39 PM

:D

How about Jody? I quite like that for a boys name

skoobidude 04 December 2007 12:45 PM

I'd stick with common names as the unusual ones are becoming rather chav IMO.

Scooby?

:D

Ms Gooner 1 04 December 2007 12:53 PM

my friend goes for rather "unusual" names - her eldest is Ripleigh and her newest edition is Millar-Edlee! I think it sounds better round the other way - but hey - who am I to comment LOL.
Good luck though - we found it SO hard to agree on names - our son was always going to be named after my hubby's dad - so there was never an issue - but with the girls OMG!!!

A name that fits in with those 'less comon' monickers? How about ASBO or ARGOS?

Jimpreza 04 December 2007 01:10 PM

:thumb: The wife wanted to name our baby if it was a boy all these poncy names. I said if anyone was called that when i was at school they'd have got filled in. Kids need all the help they can get at school from being bullied, giving them stupid name is just askin for trouble. That's why I suggested Tom.

The Snug Rhino 04 December 2007 01:11 PM

Poster called staffy bull has kids called Jade and Taylor????? Is this like QI where anyone making the obvious gags loses points?

davegtt 04 December 2007 02:12 PM

jaytc2003 04 December 2007 02:23 PM

my missus is at the 12 week stage and we have thought about a few already. Plentyl of online baby ones, including unusual ones or names with different spellings.

for boys names we have got a small list at present
Jacob
Joshua
Joseph

Missus has chosen a few girls names
Sophia
Natalyia (not Natalie)

We stopped on the girls though as I have told her she is having a boy :D

jaytc2003 04 December 2007 02:24 PM

what about Rhiddion (sp) like the x factor guy, unusual

mamoon2 04 December 2007 02:45 PM

What about Tyson Keanu :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:

Nido 04 December 2007 02:46 PM

You want something different, how about Gordon? That's not a very popular name at the minute ;) :D

There is something badly wrong with a world where people like the original poster would most likely prefer to give their little boy the first name 'Ramsay' than 'Gordon'.

MJW 04 December 2007 02:53 PM

If we'd have had a boy instead of a girl we were going to call him Caleb, an old hebrew name.
