Cracking show. Dutch TV bills TG as the "world's best motoring program" and on the basis of that showing nobody would or could ever argue :thumb:

fatherpierre 02 December 2007 09:09 PM

Blunt did himself no harm.

I'd still rather listen to my dog whine than any of his crap though ;)

corradoboy 02 December 2007 09:11 PM

LH :notworthy

VXR8  Even though it's a Vauxhaul (I wonder if it's easy to swap off the badges to make it a Holden to save the embarrassment :wonder: )

RH in the F1 car :cuckoo:

Blunt was humorously self effacing :lol1:

That Beemer wasnt half bad was it, now only if they can program it to indicate for the owners it'd be the best car ever :D

Jaybird-UK 02 December 2007 09:26 PM

Best bit of Blunt PR :)

Agree Hamilton is "a driving god" as hamster once claimed he was :)

Whit wae Hamiltons time bros? i missed it

Ameen tae thae n peace oot bros

warrenm2 02 December 2007 10:25 PM

How could you say Blunt was good - wooden, monotone, heavily editted and obviously preagreed questions with a fawning attitude by Clarkson as part of the agreement - it was worse than Diana being interviewed

I even watched this episode and broke my vow not to watch any this series. The most 'normal' show for ages and not much scripted slapstick. Thought Blunt came across quite well.

If you mean normal people who post pictures of Hitler and Mussolini in utterly pointless threads, then yes.

fast bloke 03 December 2007 12:29 AM

Apparently the beamer lapped the TG track on its own quicker than the Stig could manage..... after the Stig 'trained' the satnav for a day! Is that why we didn't get a lap time?

r32 03 December 2007 06:59 AM

Good episode, even if James Blunt was scripted he did come over well.

Your probably correct :D Why do we despise him so much? I couldnt really put my finger on it.

Leslie 04 December 2007 12:52 PM

I thought that as I expected, Hamilton would demonstrate his very real driving skill. Watching him in the car, he was driving very smoothly and with no apparent effort which is the mark of a real expert. Just shows how far he is ahead of the machine. The time he achieved in the wet was quite outstanding.

I was disappointed in Clarkson with the childishly idiotic questions he was asking Hamilton though.
