www.cumbrianscoobs.co.uk is now back!!!

NORMAL SERVICE NOW RESUMED

It is highly likely that the Cumbrian Scoobs website will go down tonight or in the near furture as our web address has been accidently sold by Nominet UK. We are trying to sort this but it is likely that the current web address is gone.

Thanks

Gaz

How can a web address be 'accidentally' sold?

If you owned it?

Snazy 28 November 2007 06:24 PM

If they have genuinly cocked up THEY need to rectify it!

Unless the domain was not locked by the owner.

GazandKatie 28 November 2007 06:28 PM

I dont know the answer to either of these questions guys, all I know that it has happened and it now needs fixing.

As far as I am aware Nominat have accepted liability

Website content still available, but needs to be accessed via:

www.CumbrianScoobs.co.uk - website of the Subaru in Cumbria

aka Westmorland & Cumberland Subaru Register

When Nominet delete your ownership without authority or any prior warning.

Plenty of companies "sniff" for released domains to register and sell back. However, as Nominet have admitted FULL liability, I will be taking legal action if they don't sort it out.
