fitting a set of gauges

how much of a job is this. probably wouldnt do it my self, so how long would it take a subaru garage.

I've just fitted a set and it took me about four hours split over two days.

The biggest hassle I had was getting at the oil temperature and pressure sensor locations. For the oil pressure, I had to shift the alternator out of the way, and for the temperature, I had to remove the intercooler and had a bit of hassle getting the blanking plug out from above cylinder 3.

Wasn't too much trouble overall, but I do have a fair bit of mechanical and electrical aptitude.....always a bonus eh?

If you're referring to the control unit, with defi's, then yes, you need one. You could just get a boost gauge from another maker.

First gauge i would get is oil temp.

The defi's are gorgeous.
