Apologies if I'm wrong, but by the appalling spelling and grammar I have a feeling this is a Troll thread.

Exactly how do you know that...?

BOB.T 06 December 2007 05:52 PM

According to Autotrader, it last changed hands on the 20th of Feb this year and it's had a total of 5 keepers. :)

Auto Trader UK - Auto Trader Vehicle Check

And the DVLA say it's taxed, DVLA Online Vehicle Licensing | Vehicle Enquiry

:)

WRX_Dazza 06 December 2007 05:52 PM

sounds like a wind up to me too :)

pslewis 06 December 2007 05:56 PM

I think the OP wants to identify the owner of said car.

The wording of the post raises more questions than answers - it's a tragic loss if true ....... but I am naturally sceptical of posts posted like this and for the reasons behind them.

Jamo 06 December 2007 06:41 PM

could be genuine?

I'd say genuine :thumb:

KINGTIGER 06 December 2007 11:32 PM

As said If it is true sorry for the loss. But what is a Troll Thread

pslewis 06 December 2007 11:47 PM

A Troll Thread is one which is designed to encourage debate ......... some don't like it.

Hence this isn't a Troll Thread - it is either a sick thread or a genuinely sad one.

You decide on a personal level which it is for you.

Klaatu 07 December 2007 01:09 AM

It's strange to me that someone is concerned about the ownership of a car more so than the loss of a son.

fast bloke 07 December 2007 01:21 AM

Thats cos he wants to find out where you live and come round and steal it. This persons inflection shows him to be of a non english background (OK - he sounds like a nigerian scammer IMHO) If this s the case, why was his son driving an English reg scoob?

Is there a possibility that he has got the reg of a legit scoob and has posted a sob story so that he can get more info in order to create endless ringers?

I once new a young lad who killed himself in his XR2 by running a hose from the exhaust. The guys father was happy to keep the motor to drive around in as he beleived it to be a good car. The mother had other ideas and had the car hidden at one of her friends garage until it could be sold on.

I also knew the son of the woman with the garage and one day out of the blue he took me up their and showed me the car. I didn't know what we were going to look at until we got there.

I never found out the fate of the car but i know the dead boys father raised hell over it.

DCI Gene Hunt 07 December 2007 09:26 AM

I'm not buying this one little bit..... :Suspiciou

BIG FUD 07 December 2007 09:34 AM

landrover51 07 December 2007 12:39 PM

well im the wife of malc, and you lot are bloody disgusting, my husband is deaf which is why the spelling isnt very good, yet you battle on at him and are of no help to him at all many thanks for putting him down and making him feel like ****! yes my son was killed as a passenger in a car crash and the apart from the day we were told he had died losing his subaru killed us all over again whats so wrong in malc just wanting to make sure the car is as cared for as when our son had it, merry bloody christmas!!

95blackWRX 07 December 2007 12:48 PM

whats being deaf got to do with spelling. not sure about that one.

This is a total scam

+Doc+ 07 December 2007 12:48 PM

Sorry to hear about your loss.
With the amount of Subarus on the road today its a long shot you will ever find it again but with perseverance there is always hope.
At the end of the day a cars a car and Im sure your son loved it at the time, whatever has happened to it matters little in the grand scheme of things.
Be happy in your memories and pictures, a car is just a lump of metal, so if you don`t find it don`t be disheartened.
With regards to the replies, please bear in mind the amount of utter ***heads and trollers we get on here makes everyone over aware of everything, including the fact the Subaru must be one of the most stolen/cloned etc car around caution is a Scoobynetter`s strong point.
Don`t take it personally, i`m sure everyone understands genuine grief.
