Had an interesting day off today. Jess was doing a double shift & was in bed so I went out for the day. I took a trip over to Letchworth to check out a meeting place for Sunday lunch for Jess & I & some friends from Milton Keynes.

And being as it was just up the road from Abery Motor Works I dropped in on Mick for a coffee & a little look round his very special near on 600bhp V8 beasty. We had a little launch of it up the road, like you do. And all I can say is "Wow".

I know it was 500bhp out of the box but now it's been fettled & with the supercharger & the other bits & bobs the torque it throws out is amazing.The power delivery of the supercharger means 80% of the torque is available at 2000 rpm. Which translates into whatever gear you are in at little more than tick over you boot it & it flies all the way through it's 6 speed box.

This gives you some idea & this is just the boggo 500. Add another 100bhp to it & this really is a beast of a car.

Tell you what Peter. I don't know if it was the sound waves or just the G force snap of the acceleration but it made my ears pop when he wrung it through the gears.That sound is to die for. :D
