Turbo Removal ??
 

Hi bit of bad news, looks like the turbo has gone :cry: what i would like to know is how hard of a job is it to remove the TD04 turbo from my X Reg Turbo2000? Im going to attack it this weekend, is there anything to be careful of or if anyone has any tips feel free to leave a post :)

the studs can shear thats one of the biggest problems,happened with mine when changing my downpipe

hm i see, im guessing the studs are part of the turbo though ? so if im going to replace it with another maybe not such a big issue :D or i could just go out there now and start drowning it in WD40 always works:lol1:

they can shear inside the downpipe,basically yeah you can try wd40 if the car isnt goin to be used but the heat from the turbo/exhaust makes them a PITA to work with
