AFAIK it's stream-only content, like most of bbc.co.uk bar the podcasts. i might be wrong but i don't think so.

store the web link or the page - you'll be able to get to it for as long as it's on the site. not the same i know but hey.

There is some software around that lets you capture the video but I can't remember what its called. I have seen it for download on torrent sites. If I find it I will post back.

Download Youtube Video

goto that page copy and paste the youtube link, a new link will appear right click and save file as.

You will need to add a .flv extension to the end of the file when its downloaded, and you will need to play it using a free flv player which can be found on google.

Try Vixy - can be a bit tempramental, but will not just download, it will convert it into a useful format as well ;)

I use KeepVid: Download videos from Google, Youtube, iFilm, Putfile, Metacafe, DailyMotion! , just paste the Youtube link into the box and select the site name in the drop down menu, and bob's your uncle.

Works for most of the other video sites too. :)

For playing .flv files I ise VideoLan. It's free and very good.

i use vixy.net : Online FLV Converter : Download online videos direct to PC / iPod / PSP. It's free!

allows yout to download them as avi, so just use windows media player to play them.

Also use it to convert to 3gp for putting on my phone

alistair 22 November 2007 09:33 PM
