COD 4 ps3 online play

Is it possible to mute the online microphone whilst playing online, you get some right muppets gaggling away, and also the constant "f" ing and blinding is not good when the rest of my familly are watching.

Apparently the next update for COD4 will address this and you can mute the microphone as well as many other features.
Only know this as I had problems with the online connection constantly going online/offline which was affecting COD4 and many other games.
So I went onto a PS3 forum, found out how to fix the problem and read about the futrure updates.
Think it will be released in the next couple of weeks via a PS3 update.
Hope that helps.

Mark.

Cheers Mark,

I was quite impressed by the graphics when I played this the other day on my mates PS3. Is there any way to choose a specific server based on location and ping rather than just joining a random one from the lobby? Seems a bit bizarre to me coming from PC FPS online gaming.

COD4 is peer-2-peer so there are no fixed servers.

So someone is starting a game on their PS3 and others join? That would explain where the lag comes from then.
