My Mother is going to Tenerife and wishes to take her phone to ring home and text, which network will be the cheapest payg calls/text, Links to said would be most appreciated.

It's probably cheaper to buy a wee mobile over there and use their networks :thumb:

I use a worldsim, probs the cheapest way of using a mobile abroad as incoming calls are free to the receiving mobile, and sensibly priced for the phone calling it.

More info here World SIM free roaming International SIM Cards. Global SIM cards.WorldSIM card. BizSIM Cards. Travel sim cards with free messenging and incoming calls at WorldSIM.Com

The other alternative is to buy a phonecard when over there, but you'll have to use payphones.
