Exactly. Any plants growing after any of these scenarios will be survivors due to evolution of their species. Re-introducing foreign plants may have a devastating effect on the naturally-evovled ecology.

ROFL @ that idea!

By my reckoning, if a N'asteroid hit the UK, it wouldn't much matter if we had seeds stored away anywhere. Most of the topsoil and parts of the bedrock would almost be in orbit! What the hell are they going to re-plant? Mars?
