WRX V3 Heads

Hi all,

Could someone tell me if the version 3 WRX heads are hydraulic or solids lifters?

Cheers
Chris

hydraulic I believe..

Can they be adapted to take the STi3 valve, cams, buckets etc?

think they are both phase 1.5 design so it should be a straight swap

head casings are the same yes

Head castings are the same but you will have trouble changing from Hydraulic tappets to the Sti Inner Shim buckets as the O/D of the buckets are different.

their the same... I have uk hydraulic head casings with sti3 valve train and cams in.. been fine for 30k miles.

biggest problem is reshimming.. which is not bad.

What identifying marks are there on the casting for me to look out for?
