Does anyone know if the kenwood mask head unit will fit into the MY01?? I know i need to get a blanker, but i think the mask systems are slightly wider than normal.

Also, how do i remove the double din standard??

It will, only if you trim the slver plastic trim.

Removing the DD unit is easy, remove the cup holder(two screws), gently prize away the silver trim starting at the top corners. This will expose the unit, there are 6 screws, 3 each side.

I did have a Kenwood KDC9090R ( for sale if anyones interested £250)) mask unit fitted in my MY01 WRX but as mentioned above the fascia panel needed to be modified and even then the unit still stuck out quite a long way.
I have now replaced the Kenwood with a Alpine unit which fits much better.
