Insurance quotes - bottomed out?
Getting around to ringing around for quotes this year instead of just accepting the renewal. As I haven't done this sort of thing for the car for a couple of years I was wondering if the lower quotes I was getting were more or less as low as they would go. Anyone comment?
Rough details: me and wife - both over 40, Passat diesel estate 2001 One traffic offence and one 'fault' accident in last 5 years. Wokingham. Berks area, car on drive. Business use as well as social etc Got down to about £300 annual, £250 excess with protected no claims and legal cover to £100K. Is it worth me spending another couple of hours on the phone? id give it a go, i mean im 25, 4 years no claims, FC no accidents or points in last 5 years
skoda fabia VRS 2005 premium £495, or £570 with protection so sure you can get your price lower than mine! |

Me with one 'fault' accident 2 years ago and 1 traffic offense (but license is clean!!) - fully protected no-claims (can have 1 claim per year!) and only a £100 excess . Sounded like a bargain to me. yeah sorry, i know its a lower price than mine, i just meant its not substantially lower really considering your extra experience and that fact your car isnt perhaps as tarred with the 'kev racer' image of the VRS... just a thought
