CD / DVD scratch repair
 

Anyone had any success with it?

I have a box set of DVDs of which most are OK, but some have a lot of very fine scratches which seem to have been made in the factory - and in several cases they render the disc unplayable :(

Can anyone recommend a scratch repair product that might be able to fix the ones that won't play?

pretty much any of the kits you can buy in the local High St stores are 'ok' at sorting minor scratches etc

if its a deep scratch 'veg oil' is supposed to be ok at potentially fixing them so they become readable

Not sure how much of a myth that actually is, but if the cd is unreadable there isnt much to lose in trying it
