SMACS & WYIOC CHRISTMAS MEET

After chatting with Al c, it was decided that the snake pass was not the best of venues for the wyiocs this year :) So, I suggested the Ford Inn as per post above. We've been there many times before in the past, and it's a cracking little drive from the end of the M67 for those of you travelling from Cheshire.
Simon has booked us in for the Friday 7th Dec.

We had our xmas 2004 meal there, me, andy, dai? pete I think :) I think they'll be a few more this time :thumb:

Thanks Chris, Everything is going to plan, I will be visiting the venue on monday to make final arrangements.
Just a quick one re: food they do full cooked meals or simple things such as hot beef sandwhich and chips etc. They have asked today for a rough guide of people wanting food.
I have spoken to the WYIOC and they are happy for either but would like your in put before sealing.
Thanks
Si

What time you going on monday? Could meet you there if it's evening time for a quick chinwag before we confirm? Or I could pop over in the afternoon if you're heading there daytime.
Don't have to be in work till 11pm (work nights) and off all day (although have to take daughter to hospital in the morn)

I'm presuming our lot are eating, as this is our xmas dinner doo :) Hope your lot are too. I'm not sure of the meal situation, but whatever they do, I'll be having a proper meal there, bloomin nice :D

So?

you'd easy make it - just set straight off from work:thumb:

The Chief 12 November 2007 09:29 AM

Clare,

we wont be sat down straight away eating i would imagine we are just meeting at 6pm.

anyway type in your postcode at work and get directions to
HD9 2LS i have it in from the centre of Buxton as 49 mins

cw42 12 November 2007 10:19 AM

Just to make this clear people, we'll be eating on the friday night between 7pm and 8pm, I'm looking to be there until I need to leave for work around 21:30. You've all plenty of time to get there and have some nosh, or at least come say hello :)

Andy S. 12 November 2007 01:33 PM

6 oclock at the pub!!!! yeah right!!

looks like I might be out as well, theres no point having a christmas meal when you sit down after the rest of them.

Are they reserving tables??

why not start food at 7.30 then gives everyone chance to get there, 7oclock people are going to struggle to get there

cw42 12 November 2007 01:41 PM

I agree 6 is too early, hence my comments above andy :)
I don't want to be there that early either. Kids and Joh would be bored by 8 :)

The Chief 12 November 2007 01:43 PM

Andy from Buxton it takes approx 50minutes.

stressymare 12 November 2007 05:14 PM
