Powder coating calipers?

I want to respray some gold brembos.

Was thinking of just sanding them down and spraying myself with a high temp paint spray can, just like frayzs guide.
Someone else said i should get them powder coated as it would be better and harder.
Not sure which way to go now, anyone got any experience or sugestions?

Only thing puts me off powder coating is they said i would have to take the pistons and rubber seals out cause of the temp in the oven. anyone no if this true or could you leave them in.

Powder coating drying normally is about 180 deg C.

I've painted mine with caliper paint and they are fine as long as you leave them to dry for the recommended period.

Just recently cosmetically refurbished and painted some rear gold Brembos.

I cleaned them up, rubbed the shine down with a scotchbrite, and brushed on Smoothrite red.

Two coats, two days in the airing cupboard to dry, rubbed on some new Brembo transfers and hey-presto.
