Bad experience with Adrian Flux

Hmm, just had an interesting call with Adrian Flux.

I requested a call back which I received on time, however I was then told to wait a few minutes while someone spoke to me so I had to sit with the dreaded wait music - no problem I thought, probably busy guys and girls.

Got through to a chap who started to take my details, advised him I wanted to get insurance on a Subaru Impreza grey import... you know the drill, after a few minutes of taking my details I am put through to another chap who starts to take my details down again.

After repeating myself I start to get the impression the guy simply doesn't want to know and is trying to fob me off, eventually admits he can't get me a quite below £2k but advises Adrian Flux deal with a specialist company who handle Scooby related insurance. Again I remain patient and ask him to put me through to the company.

Instead of putting me through the guy holds down a key on the phone resulting in a short tone before the phone is disconnected! He must think I was born yesterday, thats the oldest trick in the book!

I phoned up Adrian Flux again and told the secretary to stick the phone where the sun doesn't shine, I won't be dealing with them again.

I have never had a good epxreience with these guys in the past and now and I am not impressed... anyone else found them to be a complete bunch of tossers?

Rant over,

Fz

I've been with flux for years and they've been fantastic, really good cheap quotes, fast to answer phone etc.

However, needed a quote as buying an impreza. They openly admitted they don't want to touch them, to high a risk, too much hassle. i.e my existing insurance woukld have gone from £240 to approx £1800---- If I'd of proceeded. well I didn't as no car is worth that kind of money to insure.

anyway- the linked companies here sorted me out just fine :)

i had a bad experience with them about 5 years ago, i went to my sister's for a few weeks forgeting my renewal , i was 1 week late, they then told me cos i was late they had to put the price up by £500.

they can stick that £500 up their @~*&%$

I got a good quote from Keith Michaels (chap called Fraser) shortly after my crap call with Adrian Flux so I am happy, just need to confirm collection date on my new car and get the insurance started.

I had insurance with Flux for 3 years when i put a 2 litre conversion in my astra and they were great the whole time i was with them, really cheap and they were the only company who would take on a car like mine with an engine conversion, but as said there above they arent too interested in import scoobs or any scoobs:(

I phoned Flux once and they wanted 2300 on my 95 wrx and they wanted 1500 on a 1.2 51 reg fiesta f in useless.

I dont get why there is so much hassle with jap imports they virtually the same, in fact all scoobies r build in japan aint they just converted to uk spec here.

such stupid quotes from a company who use a picture of a young lad with a wanked out Escort Cosworth behind him !!!!

Cheers KM, sorted me out without any fuss, how it should be.

i found flux to be quite blunt in whatever they did and expensive

they wouldn't inure on my impreza as i was 24 at the time then would charge 2400 when they would

found a broker in the back of jap performance that did me for 900fc at 24

I had my insurance with Adrian Flux on my previous car and tbh they weren't too bad with that. When I got the Scoob they weren't interested. Gave me a quote well above anyone else before even considering the mods.

Just too bl00dy expensive for an old-timer with a full NCB and a decade of Scooby ownership....
Moved to KM !
