Gauges ?

Is there really a need for a set of gauges?

They do look quite good (imo) very "to fast-to furious" but are they really necessary? I've seen some cars with a set in the centre console aswell as on the pillar. :wonder:

well ive just recently fitted defi bf's oil temp.oil pressure and boost held in a carbon zero sports gauge pod which retains the clock and to be honest the look great but i can also make sure my oil temp is correct before i give some boost as the standard engine temp gauge is reading normal way before the oil is at optimun temp.I can also see any drop in oil pressure before any overheating occurs which would allow you to stop the car way before any damage. Boost gauge will let you see boost pressure difference as you modify too.

I'll be getting some gauges eventually, not because I think they look cool (which they do, especially defi gauges) but because I want to make sure everything is running as it should be in the engine. Every type of gauge has a good reason for being there if you ask me, oil pressure is an important one in a scoob I think as it could give you an early indication of the dreaded oil pump failer if pressure starts to drop.

Oil temp gauge is worth it's weight in gold, but i know what you're saying.

It's the only bit of bling i've bought for mine.
