New member coming from another car brand needs advice.

Afternoon all on our first true day of winter.
I was wondering if all you Subaru owners would help me.

I am from the Ford RS, GTE Astra's and Rover turbo scene. My Rover GSI turbo is about to go on Tuesday and I have my heart set on a WRX.
So despite my faults please can the people in the know offer me some straight up buying tips and things to look out for.

My budget is relatively low, between 4-5k so my first question is at that price should I evern be bothering? Currently looking at M/N/P plate cars from quick searchs on ebay.

Imports? Worth looking at or not?

Mods? Any thing I should be staying away from?

The chocolate piston rumours (Always said by ford boys) Are they really that bad? Is there any thing that causes it? Ie ****e mapping? Lower RON levels here in uk than the 100Ron ran else where.

Any advice greatly appreciate.

Regards
Lee
