best way to clean induction kit/air filter.
ive got pipercross kit just want a few tips on how to clean the filter.:wonder:

I've got a Pipercross induction kit myself, I cleaned mine by...
Whip it off the car. Spray it with filter cleaner (if you've got any, if not, not sure what else would work...). Leave it for a few minutes (or however long the cleaner stuff says to). Rinse it thoroughly from the inside with running water until it runs clear - also find it helps to rub the outside with your hand to loosen the dirt out a bit. Leave it to dry naturally. Stick it back on. It might work just as well without any cleaner, but take longer to run clean. |
dont you have to reoil the filter
|
Bugger, knew I forgot something! Yes, once it's dry, re-oil it and then stick it back on. Or you can re-oil it once it's back on, bit that gets a bit tricky on the underside, obviously.

any particular filter oil i should go for

I used the Pipercross stuff myself, you can get the cleaner and oil together. Got mine from http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/
