That may well be the case, but there will also be loads of Track hardened drivers on the track, which makes it a little daugnting, I haven't been on a track for years and when I did it was pretty quiet, for me it'll be a little to much, I'd rather skip this one and go later in the year after some driver training :thumb:

Phil 23 October 2007 11:53 AM

No probs mate

 If I had an old banger, that I didn't care about, I'd be up for it.

But that wasn't what I said.... Your car....

and like you've said you've had plenty of track experience and you wont take your car on... Why?

Phil 23 October 2007 12:08 PM

The reason I haven't taken my car out is because up until now its been owned by my employers and they have not allowed me to take it out

I own the car now and you will be seeing it on track regularly ;)

If I had an old banger
I so nearly ........................NO STOP IT :D:D:D:D

kevdsti 23 October 2007 12:56 PM

phil as i am a member does that mean you have to take a scoob or can i take the capri as it will be mended by then

Phil 23 October 2007 12:58 PM

A member is entitled to bring what car they wish

We do not expect to have to open this to non members btw gauging current interest :D

V4JDMSTi 23 October 2007 01:14 PM

just hoping that my ra will still be on the road by then. if it is, it should have those extra horses and better handling. although will still run out of puff at 120 lol. although chances are i wouldn't end up going over about 80 :lol1:

V4JDMSTi 23 October 2007 01:15 PM

btw - can we add additional drivers to the same car for an additional fee or would it be the full amount. Just thinking that captain neameo would probably use the ra but not his wagon. if i can get a trailer then i can use his barge to tow the ra there :lol1:

Phil 23 October 2007 02:08 PM

Additional Drivers are usually charged at £25ish but I will confirm this once it goes live in the shop

Remember mate, its not how fast you go its how quick you are ;)

Top Speed is not that important at Brands its about getting your lines right something the instructor or one of the more experianced track day drivers [ there will be quite a few of us there ;)] can show you quite easily

mrs_b4 23 October 2007 02:14 PM

For once Mark is talking sense for a novice to go on a track is completely stupid without prior training to do so is suicide then whinging afterward's they've knackered their precious car.Seems to me Phil your suffering from fume inhalation of dog sh*t:hjtwofing

I am not trying to force anybody into it !!

A days driver training with either Mark Stevens or Andy [Car Limits] will of course be of Massive benefit before a Trackday

Although I did my first trackday at Bedford with no prior training, I spent 1/2 an hour with the Instructor and had a great experiance.

Newbie's are required to show a a Red X in the rear window so that the more experianced drivers give due care to them

So don't be put off.

Incidents are rare on properly run Days

true as it's the indy circuit. although the ra would be on the limiter way before the end of the straight lol. what's brands like for eating tyres? not expecting to push on the first track day but i can include some tyres in the cost equation. just more interested in learning the lines. Then progressing when i get out for the day with Andy Walsh.

V4JDMSTi 23 October 2007 02:47 PM

any idea if moley does track insurance? ;)

bibo_boy 23 October 2007 02:51 PM

I've been trying to ignore this...... :(

I'm very interested as I need some more track experience badly!

Phil 23 October 2007 03:01 PM

Tyre wear can depend on your driving style
