actually i have just read exactly what you want and i dont think you will get all that for £20k

If you want it reliable ,looking at 30k

Why do you need 550bhp for a "reliable" road car? Is this a specific requirement or did you just pull the figure out of your head?

if i had the money id want lots of extra ponies too:lol1: |
Aye true, but when looking for a performance motor and looking at specs etc... I usually start with the claimed 0-60mph times to get a feel for what I am looking at. Why do we focus so much on bhp as opposed to torque?
I'm asking this of myself as much as anyone else to be honest. If we are honest with ourselves there is absolutely no point to the power levels we run on the road... but what the heck, that's why we are petrol heads I suppose :) |

Someones pulling your leg that you need to change your JDM Sti cams to achieve 550bhp and you already have adjustable intakes as std.
Andy Its was a drop in engine and doesn't have my AVCS heads fitted !! The heads are getting changed at the begining of next year'ish |
The Litcho / Power Station Scoob had about 600bhp didn't it? How much did that cost to build?!!
TX. |
i just sold my mates car on here it was 530bhp and had receipts for 30k but you have to consider what parts you buy you could prob do it cheaper but you get what you pay for, if your going for that much you want the best imo:thumb:

I make it about £18,000 +vat including suspension, twin plate clutch, ecu, fuel system, FMIC, engine, rotated turbo, and all the labour. Brakes at extra cost.

thats taking the p*ss, surely??:)
The following items will cost around £7,500 +vat alone Suspension struts (sorry wouldn't fit AST) Clutch ECU Fuel system Turbo kit and exhaust manifold FMIC Then you want to build a reliable 550hp engine, and have it all fitted and mapped. If you want it done properly, with a warranty that you're not going to need to use, then budget accordingly. |

Not at all, I think you'll find it's very competitive.
