This pic is from my ecu. Its a z4 with a mines chip in it. Trying to find out what going on with it. As its not like a normal mines chip, ive still got the 112mph limit on it, the boost is only 0.95bar. But the car is bloody quicker than normal

No! But i'm an Electronics engineer. It's probably just the software file name and revision code for the ROM chip.

On a serious note, its like opening a can of noodles here. Further I look into this car, I find odd things like its a mix of wrx & sti parts

It's the specific ROM to be used with that ecu board by the looks of it.

The top line is "Impreza WRX" Unfortunately the handwriting is a pile of dudong so I cant really read the rest....... Sorry

I contacted "Mines" and got this reply,

Thank you for your attached photos.

These photos show the following things:

1. Removed the Speed Limiter

2. Reset the injection and ignition timing

3. Expanded the rpm from 7000 upto 7300 within the Rev Limiter.

4. Your VX-ROM is for GC8/EJ20T/Vehicle year from October,1994 to September,1996.

Now the only problem there is,
1. The speed limiter is still at 112mph
2. The revs go past 8000 rpm

mmm... I think its time to remove the the mines chip.

Yeh, I've not got onto Kanji quite yet. got as much as you did though.

Is the J1(i think) link still intact ?

Ive came to the decision, im going to get a live mapping done, safer in the long run I think
