Just saw skippy on the news dodging the cars at Bathurst:eek: ! Is this race being shown on tv anytime?
I remember when it used to be shown on terestrial tv but haven't seen it for years. Do they still race the big v8 holdens and falcons, etc? Pete |
Great skippy clip:thumb:
Bathurst is huge over here with most of the Saturday's qualifiying shown on free to air. Then there's most of Sunday for the race itself. Yep, big Ford and Holden V8s |

MOTORING: V8 Supercars On: five (5) Date: Wednesday 17th October 2007 (starting in 6 days) Time: 03:30 to 05:10 (1 hour and 40 minutes long) V8 Supercar action from Australia with the Super Cheap Auto 1000 from the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales. |
Its an outstanding circuit. I have got it on TOCA 3 and it is fantastic to drive in one of the big V8 cars.

This years race was shown on Sunday on Motors TV. Check the TV listings for Motors TV this week as I'm sure it will be repeated (albeit a shorter version than the 6 or so hours shown on Sunday).

Is the Bathurst still a 24hr race? A relative of mine had a huge night-time crash there in 2003... The gearbox siezed and the car spun on a downhill blind corner. He was just about out when an RX7 came around the corner at full chat and destroyed itself and the GT3! Left him stood on one leg in the middle of the circuit: his other leg was still in the Porsche when it was hit.
