Woman has car stolen at Gunpoint

Bloody scary out there:

From BBC News website

A woman has had her car stolen at gunpoint in Warrington.

The victim was showing her red Vauxhall Astra coupe to two prospective male buyers, both aged about 19 or 20.

While on a test drive on Wednesday afternoon, the driver stopped the car and the woman was threatened with a gun and ordered out of the car.

The incident happened on Golbourne Road in the Winnick area of the town.

Police are asking anyone with any information to contact them.

Police are also trying to trace a third man who brought the two theives to the buyers' house. He was also aged about 19 or 20 and drove a purple X registration Vauxhall Tigra.

This sort of thing will get worse the more they get away with.

That's shocking.

At least if you have a gun you could steal something worthwhile, not an Astra Coupe - the car of the upwardly mobile chav

Woman gets into car on her own with two strangers  The gun is pretty incidental in those circumstances. She was lucky things didn't turn out a lot worse.

You are probably right, but what a terrible admission to have to make in this country these days!
