abs and air bag light on
 

hello, can anyone please help,
im just about to buy my first scooby, went to have a look the other day at it but i noticed the abs and air bag lights are on, could this be a costly thing or could it be easily fixed
hope someone out there can help

very hard to say if it will be expensive there are a number of components in both systems that can bring on fault lights.
if the seller really wants to sell the motor they will get it repaired,is it a garage or private seller?

i was quoted £40 from a dealer to reset the airbag ecu/ controll unit which should turn the light off.
i havent got round to do mine yet, but i suppose if they want to sell the car, have them do this first to make sure the problem isnt still there when reset.
