help with lowering classic

hi looking for help and suggestions.ive a 97 type r sti and it will have 18" inovite wheels onit ,its currently running the standard shocks i think hasnt got coilovers.but on the top of the shock thers a little thing like a dust cap on them when i unscrewed it i can see a tiny allen head nut,is der damping adjustment on standard type r shocks.
the main issue is i want to lower the car bout 30 or 40mm on the standard shocks as i like the feel of the car now ,the last 2 sti's i had had coilovers in them and sick of the harsh ride.so what springs would you guys recommend, also the car is a road car for the odd quick blast ,wont b near a track

Lowering....

Hi there,

I have a set of 50mm H+R springs on my RB5 with standard shocks and theyre fine, not to harsh but not as comfortable as the eibachs i had in. if u want the looks go for the h+r's as they make the car sit at a lovely height (my two mates also use these springs in a 97uk car and a 99 sti), but the eibachs are defo a better handling spring, although i found they didnt lower my car very much....thats why i changed to the h+r's:thumb:
