I had to deal with biro ink removal from the leather seats of an M3 last week, and these people were very helpful and sold me a great product:

Furniture Clinic - Leather Care Cleaner, Furniture Repair & Restoration

I'd give them a call! :)

lee they are based on the team valley so you might as well call in, ask for ben, i bought a load of leather colourant stuff from them last year

the problem you will have is

1. nail varnish is solvent based
2 solvent remover products will take the coating off the leather

what you need is to use a cotton bud with some remover on it and carefully wipe the varnish and not the leather, you can take a bit off the leather as its covered in a flexible clear lacquer anyway.

thinners will also work

when i changed the colour of the leather sofa i was sent some "leather prep" by ben, which turned out to be thinners, this removes the top finish.

ive just relised i`m still signed in with the boys profile from work, (its sticky from tts BTW)

...ink remover worked a treat, no leather discolouration either. :)
