Accidents in commercial vehicles?

Does a minor accident in a company owned commercial vehicle need to be declared when rewewing your private car insurance?

Company secretary has assured me you don't have to declare it.

Is this correct or would it depend on the specific wording of your own insurance policy? :wonder:

Appreciate a reply from someone in the know as mine is due for renewal very soon. :)

Your supposed to notify them of any bump. But its very very unlikely they would be able to find out information about a bump in a fleet motor. I used to drive a fleet car and had a few bumps in it (road furniture mostly) no claims were ever made so nothing was ever declared.

I did once write off a private car with my g/f in it. Nobody else involved so i didn't tell my insurance firm, they did however find out 6 months later when claims dirrect phoned them working on behalf of my recently ex g/f heh!
