API re-build
Well i just had the car re-mapped by API after i ran it in and i must say a big big thank you to David at API as on my way home the car pulled in every gear like a train it was a great differents to the old car .I know that my engine re-build was not a cheap one but after the drive home it just showed me why it cost that much. Still got the worlds biggest grin on my face:D :D :D :D :thumb:
oyea the last thing i must say is :hjtwofing to the M3 driver who tried to get away from me and give in as he had no chance lol she off to be checked on the dyno next week so then i will see what she is running but i would say 350+ if not a lot more and what the torque will be so watch this space And if you want a engine built give David a call Many thanks David from a very happy customer:thumb: |
Assume it doesnt need running in then?

Kip, thanks for that. l told you it was going well.
Both Pat and I were impressed at its performance - it came in at the upper end of our expectations. Thanks for your custom. See you sometime. David APi |
Have we now confirmed its been run in ?! ;) :D

I guess we can consider it run in, as I had it on 8000 Rpm in 3rd and 4th mapping it yesterday.......................................

api david
have you even seen a blown ecu what would cause this to melt its the t-filters so i've been told that have melt all the lights flickerd for a few secs then the car stalled and the ecu had melted in 1 corner. ive posted in this section "any1 blown an ecu" if you want to have a look at the damage theres a photo there, its a GEMS ECU hi kips good to see the car is running finally |
Funnily enough we have a blown A'Pexi here at the moment. BUT, the owner has jump started the car with leads straight across the battery :nono:
AND the A'Pexi has been under water at some time in its life too, as it is all green and furry inside and an earth trace on the pcb board is burnt right through. As to how and why on yours, we can only guess, trouble is you get reluctant to put another on it, in case that gets fried too. Sorry maybe one or two of the mapper types will have better input than me. Steve Simpson is the guru for Gems in my opinion. Good luck David |
