PPP WRX Bugeye - parts
Hi all,
i have a 2001 Bugeye WRX. It previously had the PPP retrofitted, and then removed before sale bar the ECU. Ive been searching away, but havent come up with a clear answer. The PPP changed what exactly..? ECU, Backbox and free flow cat or decat? And badging? Hoses? Anything else? Thanks very much! Mark. |
To recreate PPP you'll need a backbox, decat short centre section and intercooler feed hose.
You should be able to source the lost items for IRO £300-£350. Leaving the PPP ecu seems an odd thing to do when removing everything else. The std WRX ECU could have been sourced very cheaply. Nick |
Thats great, thanks.
What are the advantages of the hose? just to get the name somewhere? The previous owner said it wasn't a decat, but a sports cat? Your sure on the decat? (sorry, not doubting your knowledge, just checking to be sure!) cheers again, Mark. |
The WRX has 3 cats as standard in the up-pipe, downpipe and short section centre pipe.
The WRX PPP replaces the last of these with a decat only. The WRX STi PPP has this decat but also a sports cat downpipe. It has no cat in its uppipe. nick |
ahhh excellent thanks.
the hose? |
Oh yes - its a blue Samco Y hose with Prodrive printed on it.
It offers less back pressure than the standard corrugated plastic hose. nick |
Excellent,
Danke! |
what performance increase does the ppp provide?
|
from 218 to 265 roughly isnt it?
|
thats a good increase, is there a ecu mod to get to that?
