flat4online

Has anybody else had problems getting parts from this firm.
Brought a Walbro pump through fleabay last week, still the pump hasn't turned up. My car is booked into Zen for a remap and I wanted to git the pump before it went in.
There is no number on their website :brickwall have sent 2 messages and 1 email, no response even though it says on there advert "We will respond your e-mail within 2 hour time period" more like 2 weeks. Why put it if you ain't going to do it

This is the most unprofessional company I have dealt with, Seems strange not to have a phone number.

Hi spikester

You are not alone.

I ordered a walbro fuel pump last week from them on ebay.
Got an email saying that they had dispatched it (after I had sent an email asking where it was and when was it likely to be delivered) .
Still have not received it.

Asked them for a tracking number (twice), so that I could track the item. None given, I assume because there is not one, as they have probably not sent it yet.

I have a mechanic coming round tomorrow to fit an electronic boost controller for me. Thought he could do the pump as well. Will now have to fit that myself.

Bit p****d off with them to say the least.

If they had none in stock then they should just say so and not give me the runaround that it has been sent (1st Class post as well).

In future you,d be better off just letting Zen source the parts...there wouldn,t be much if any saving on a fuel pump.

Flatfour online is run from someones bedroom iirc.

Just to speak up for Flatline, I bought my fule pump from then and I got it next day no problems.

I have had a lot of things go missing from Ebay of late, all down to the post office.

I'm sure you have, but E-mail them from anoter of their ads, the possiblity of a new sale means they always answer E-mails from new customers first.

They do have a website though, google it and that has their number on it.

ive bought stuff from him before, its not a big company, bedroom is probably quite appropriate, sometimes things take time but they always turn up eventually

I see your frustration i too ordered a pump didnt turn up in time and when it did was in complete.. hey ho

greekpeterfromlondon 12 September 2007 07:44 PM

i got my pump from ther and got it the next day.

spikester 12 September 2007 08:18 PM

Got a reply saying pump should be here tomorrow or Friday latest.

Funny what the threat of negative feedback can do.

Still will wait and see.

Still waiting for my goods emailed them but still havent heard has anyone got a phone number for them ta.

Scoobybits 13 September 2007 07:07 AM

I had same problem
Will never use them again.

As with any internet website, if it doesn't have a telephone contact and an address listed on the website, I would be cautious about dealing with that seller.

plenty of "proper" traders stock the Walbro kits anyhows, don't think the likes of Flat4 are that much cheaper if at all??

:luxhello:
Got mine today. Only a week from when it was dispatched.

A lesson learned.

Aztec Performance Ltd 14 September 2007 06:15 PM

I ordered a dawes device from them yesterday afternoon and it arrived first thing this morning.

I think IF its in stock he will get it out to you quickly. Worth checking to see if it is in stock first though.

Pump Received this morning :thumb:

Wouldn't be so bad if he just responded and said.

Did check it was in stock, actually said he had 8 off them.

BIGEMP 14 September 2007 11:01 PM

i used them once last year and never again,as you said if they just said there was going to be a delay or anything at least you know, instead of thinking its never going to turn up,and then go and buy the item elsewhere and then it eventually turns up and you have to flog the spare one, perhaps its because im an impatient ******* and want everything yesterday lol

karl h 15 September 2007 02:50 AM

wasnt there this same complaint just recently with flat4
wonder why they/he wont give a number to check on orders ?
put me off using them same reason

wonder if they read this? i'v got an old phone if you need one flat4
let me know :D

Do a search on here about flat4online. I dare say, you'll find this is one of the most complained about companies in the Subaru community.

ZEN Performance 19 September 2007 06:41 PM

Or you could have just picked one up here for sensible money, at our normal price it would have cost you £3.18 more for peace of mind and being able to deal with a human being and not just a website.

I would read the small print on the flat4online website, it makes some interesting claims, that they offer no warranty on anything they sell is just one thing you might want to check.

I have ordered a few bits from there over the last year or so including a Walbro pump just a month ago and had no problems. Perhaps they are getting more orders than they can handle. If that's the case they need to get on top of it or they'll soon end up with no orders!

H4RDY-P1 20 September 2007 12:34 AM

I ordered a silicone hose set and it took 3 and a half weeks to arrive ! and when it did i had to cut nearly every hose down to fit properly, would never use again.:nono:
