MOT Issues

You won't beleive what may car failed it's MOT for;

1. Having a sunvisor strip fitted! The top edge of the wiper sweep touches this and therefore it failed! The fact that the factory sun visors come below this is appaerently irrelavent!

2. Fog light missing? The car has sti rear lamps, and after a quick search on here, these do not have fog lights and need a mod to get one to fit.

3. Most surprising of all the car failed on emisions :wonder:

Obviously!

that said I had not realised there was not a fog light, so I will resolve that today, being a uk car the feed is there, just need a red led lamp and the o/s reversing lamp becomes my fog lamp!

I have even put a cat back in it!

sorry to hear of this Neil.

i've got my rear fog in the light cluster too (good move)

i know a good tester in John O'Groats.... Leave me your keys and i'll get it tested for ya!!! ;) LOL

V4JDMSTi 12 September 2007 10:32 AM

fog light is an easy one, so is the sunstrip. just put shorter wiper blades on it. ;)

emisions can be sorted too ;)

drop me a pm if you want somewhere else to take it ;)

ps, that cat looks far better than every other subaru cat i've seen :lol1:

On the WRX I got an advisory notice that they couldn't check the seatbelt because the child seat was on the back seat !:cuckoo: I think Flat Eric Mark had problems on his first MOT with the sunstrip.
