Now I'm really confused.
What EXACTLY is the process with replacing tyres on a Scoob? I've got 2 front RE010s (16") which need replacing. Do I have to replace all 4? (then I might as well put on my Scoobysport Mims!!!:D:D:D:D) Can I just replace the 2 worn tyres (with the same..) and save some money? What do I have to do? Thanks in advance :) Dan Mod/webby - feel free to move this to the appropriate forum, but I thought I'd try it here anyway :) |
Changing all four tyres at once is the safest thing to do. This is as much because the Impreza is a high performance car as it is because the Impreza is 4WD.
If you fit new tyres to the front and crap ones to the rear, the car may have a tendency to oversteer, particularly in rain. Swap the worn rears to the front and the car will understeer. Because the Impreza powers all four wheels, the worn tyres will be more likely to brake away under hard acceleration as well as just high cornering forces. £200 for two extra tyres versus £20000 for a new Impreza. You pays your money, you takes your choice. ;) |
Thanks for the reply - this is kind of what I thought!!!!:)
17" wheels here I come!!:D:D:D:D:D Dan |
Remember to swap the 17inch wheels/tyres from front to back every so often and then replace all four when they are all low on tread... sorted...
