Offside Rear Brake Pipe
Hey guys
Well eventually got round to changing my brakes today and all went relatively well till i got to the offside rear wheel! Went to undo the flexi where it joins the hard pipe only to discover there is no nut as such (its been rounded off)! I have no hope of getting this off in one piece and there is not enough slack to just cut it off! So, is it worth replacing the whole rear pipe? It seems to go over the petrol tank and into a joining block, or should I just cut it off and join a new bit into it? Cheers Wayne |
as long as the rest of the pipe is fine, then easiest is to join a small new section in.............

Thanks alyn, the rest of the pipe is fine so ill just join a new bit in then. Whats the best way to do this, put some flanges on the end and join on a new bit?

yep cut-back and flare the old pipe at a suitable position and use a male/female joiner
